Default 4x4 problems

I have a 04 fx4. When I turn my 4x4 switch the 4hi light turns on. And I can hear the relay click and I can feel it engage. But when I give it gas it makes a aloud pop and disengages. I put it in 4low it will do the same thing sometimes it will work fine idk what's going on.

Its IWE = Integrated Wheel ends what did you put on ?? IWE solenoid ?? if so most likely either the IWE it self...double check your vacuum at the wheel ends first...you can borrow a vacuum pump from auto parts store like auto zone.

I put the IWE solenoid under the hood. I was going to get the IWE actuators. But I don't want to waste my money. Is their a way to check them out. I'm going to test the vacuum out before I buy the actuators.
