4x4 feels like E brake is on??

Default 4x4 feels like E brake is on??

Hen I put it in 4 wheel high, it feels like my ebrake is on. Anyone know what the deal is I just bought this truck it's a 2001 super crew 5.4

What do you mean, does the truck not want to move? Are you trying it on pavement and turning cause that can cause it to catch too much and act up.

Well when I started driving on the pavement it started jumping.

Your not supposed to use your four wheel drive on pavement. It can mess with the drivetrain.

x2, 4x4 is not supposed to be operated on dry, hard surfaces such as concrete. The wheels are actually spinning at slightly different speeds which accounts for the chirping and weird turning. Driving on pavement with 4x4 on puts un-necessarily strain on 4x4 components and can damage them.
