Question 4.10 or 4.56

i have a 2001 4x4 with the 4.6(no *****) and 3.55 gears. i recently put a set of 33's on there and the truck barely wants to turn them especially at 65. im buying 35's shortly and know i need to change the gears. anyone know what kind of rpms id be turning at speed? any difference in fuel milage. im kinda stuck between 4.10 or 4.56, possibly 4.88 but dont think i need them with the 80 miles to work each way.

i just put 4.56 in my truck with 35s and the 5.4L... and its a huuuge difference in power and i (for city driving) would have even went 4.88s. but i still do some highway and the 4.56 are perfect.

I only put 4.10 in mine and I have a 8 inch lift with 39 tsl boggers it pulls but I wouldn't suggest mashing on the gas from a stop

i talked to a driveline shop and they told me that 4.10 with 35s will get you back to the performance you had before tire increase

4.10 for only a 33" your highway mpg would be scary with a 4.56. If u still want a little more maybe a 4.30

4.30's because you don't have a 6 speed. If you had a 6 speed I would say 4.56.

4.56s with the 35s for sure. i have 38.5s on mine and im running 4.56s. im fixing to put 42 on it and run eithier 4.88s or 5.13s but yes you should definatly run 4.56s man. but also keep in mind that there is alot of money involved with changing gears and you also have to buy a bigger carrier.

yea. a 4.56:1 gear ratio with 38" tires will get u back to the same feeling as a factory gear ratio.

also, if you truck is in the 1990's (not sure bout anything newer tho) you'll need a larger axle carrier for 4.56 cuz the factory carrier is too small
