^Be careful with that. It varies quite a bit even within a transmission supplier like Getrag. Some cars/trucks don't even have an exact 1:1. My M5 had 5th as the 1:1 (6 spd Getrag).

I would think that your gear selection would have to depend on usage and what your overdrive ratio is on the tranny. I intend on running 35's with 3.73's because stock & 33" tires seem to make 1st gear useless lol.
