35's and Gears
Hello all! I'm hoping to actually get some aid here, last time I posted a question, I have many views, and 0 comments to help out, so this is my make it or break it trial for help.
I have a 98 F150 5.4L and am going to be putting 35's on. I don't know what the stock gear ratio is, and was wondering if I will be ok with leaving it stock, or should upgrade the gearing front and rear.
What do you guys recommend would be the best way to go, it's not my Daily Driver, and when I do drive it, it's either for a trip to haul something, go through the snow, or go up the mountain and onto some trails.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Ok, so I've found out that I have a Dana 44 in the rear, haven't found the front yet, gotta remove my skid plate to find out, however, running 35's, would you recommend 410 or 456 gears?

410. thats what I'm switching to. 4.56s that motor would be screaming at 70 mph....

It'll feel stock again. I went with 4.10's over my 3.55's with a 4.6 on 35's and it just feels to have gained the power it lost from the bigger tires. Get your speedo reset for your gears and tire size or it'll be way off though.
