35's and drive thrus?
Those of you with 35's (or other wide tires), do you go through drive thru's? I've only had mine a couple weeks and have tried a few drive thru's. Usually I have to stop and back up and try again to get around the corner. Thinking about avoiding drive thru's.
I have a 2011 super crew 4x4 with 35 x 12.5 x 18 wheels.

It really comes down to the drive thru.
I've noticed in Orange County that the newer places will have a wider drive thru than the older places.
If I do grab some fast food, 95% of the time I would just park and walk in.

I went through a couple drive thrus and made it, but usually had a rear wheel go over a curb at some point. One drive thru was kind of tight and had poles/barriers along the curb which really made me nervous. Could put a dent in the side.
So for now, I'm just planning to not use drive thrus unless I'm pretty sure there will not be issues. I have noticed that, as mentioned above, newer drive thrus seem to be wider and easier to get through.

as mentioned before, it all depends on the drive thru. i have 35's and where i live the drive thrus are pretty tiny and i find my self doing a 3 point turn to get through. my girlfriend lives in East County just east of san diego and its like bro-central there. lots of big lifted trucks. i can usually get through those no problem.

I'm at 9 inches and 37s and I don't have a problem with drive thrus..I'm in MA but I can't imagine drive thurs are that different around the country

I don't doubt that part of this is just me being a noob with the truck. I'm having issues parking, etc. I figure I will give it a month or so and then maybe try drive thrus again and just note the ones that I consider 'high risk'.

Funny you should mention your Jeep -- My other vehicle is an 06 Wrangler Unlimited which was previously my DD and will now just be for wheeling (and drive thrus lol).
