I've got a 1996 f-150 4x4. I don't have the money to get any new rims now and i'm in need of tires soon. I've read on other forums and things that its not recommended. I've also heard not to, and that its a bunch of b.s. and that they know people who've done that before with no problems

I've got 33x10.5 on my stock 15x7.5 wheels, and they rub quite a bit on the turn.

no, one was a 30x9.5
but they actually were 33x12.5, on my x7 wheel. they rubbed a lot, i went down to stock size up front, now i can park in parking lots

i recommend dont simply because of the rubbing.

narrowest recommended rim width is 8" for 33x12.5's on a 15" rim. i've run that setup for years with 0 issues .5 inches really isn't going to make a difference, i'd say go for it.

i've also run that tire size with a 15x10 rim, and to me the rim looked too wide for the tires.

different type of rig, but...........

black rims are 15x10, chrome one is 15x8. tire sizes are all 33x12.5

Those 33x12.5/15 needs a 10 inch wide rim to be safe. You can mount them on alot of things but the key word is safe. Its like putting 30 pounds of crap in a 20 pound bag. Too much pressure on the beed of the tire and if you hit a curb, it may pop off the rim. Good luck!
