but i do like them and thanks slow96z i was lookin and all the specs are the same and stuff but the summit was a fraction of the price
and frank the reason u hated it.....Z71.....chevy they arnt as good as ford

You can still tow from a frame mounted receiver but not from the bumper. The towing capacity does not change, but the relocation brackets for the bumpers are not strong enough to withstand towing weights.

get the performance accesories 3" kit as long as your willing to do something to fill the gaps they leave, that's what i got and unlike everyone else on here i personally think it looks good on my truck.... look at my pics on my profile

It's your truck!
How did you fill the cap I normally see between the bed and frame?
You know everyone has an opinion there like *** holes.
Or is it opinions are like *** holes....everyone has one.
It's your truck do what you wanna do.

If doing a body lift, I wouldn't recommend using the rear bumper relocation brackets. The only downfall I have had with my body lift is a little more flex (maybe it's just more noticeable now) and the bumper brackets (front only, I didn't put the rear on) are kind of scary, God forbid I ever hit something hard with the front!

i have a 1999 F-150, Ext. Cab. 4wd. it has 255/70/r16 on it right now, i bought a 3 inch body lift for it, whats the max tire size i can fit without rubbing? i was looking at 33x1250 or 295/75r16, oh and i bought cragar soft 8 rims with 5" rear spacing.

I would say get a body lift from summitracing.com
get the summit brand not the performance accessories
i did a lot of research on body lifts when i was looking to buy one for my explorer. the reason was bc they don't make a body lift specific for new explorers. but anyways in my studies i discovered that the company that make PA brand also makes summit brand. the only difference in the kits is the box they come in. my body lift even came with PA instructions when i opened the box.
