Default Are 3.31's with 33's a bad idea?

So about 4,000 miles ago I added a 2" leveling kit and 33's on my 2013 Fx2 and I have seen a small drop in mpg and power, as expected(duh). BUT, I am wondering if my gear/tire setup is putting a lot of strain on my trans/motor and if so, what will happen? I feel like my truck still has plenty of power (0-60 in the 7's) but I am curious as to how bad this setup really is or is it fine?

I think your fine. There only 1" taller than stock.

I have a friend with a 2013 FX2 5.0L with 3.31 and he would like to go with 33s but is nervous about the power lose. Ima show him this thread. My only concern would be how much would it affect towing.

Default Stock was only 30"

My stock wheel/tire combo was only 30" so I've upgraded 3 inches. I have yet to tow something with this setup but the power is still plentiful when I get on it. And yes my engine is the 5.0 also.

Oh you have18s? Well that is a big jump, being as the trucks with 20s come with 32s I think 33"s would be just fine. If you don't tow a lot of wavy loads. But even with that you will be ok. There are guys running 35s with stock 3.55s and still tow which about the same as 33s and 3.31s if you ask me.
