22's and Leveling Kit - Will it work and look good?
- Hey Guys, first post on here ever. Here is my 2013 F150 Limited with Aftermarket wheels (22) which were on them when I bought her.
- I'm thinking of installing a 2.5 inch rough country lift and putting some 285/55/22 Nitto Terras or Trails on there. Any thoughts?

I used to work with a guy that had 22" XD's on his F-150 and I believe Nitto 420s tires. Anyways, he threw a Maxtrac 2" strut spacer on it, kept the same wheels and went to a 33" nitto terra grappler tire. I thought it looked pretty cool it was unique to see larger wheels on a leveled truck with a somewhat aggressive tire. I wish I had pics of it the whole thing was murdered out. Anyways it looked great in my opinion! just my $.02..

Thanks for your 2 cents. I'm looking for a bit of aggressiveness in the tire and a bit more clearance with the lift. We get a lot of snow and ice up in here in the mountains where I live, so I'm hoping it will be a nice upgrade from these skinny/slick tires.

I had a 2012 Harley-Davidson with 22" fuel mavericks and 325/50R22 toyo AT2's ,which are 35.4 inches and 13 and change wide. A Rancho quick lift 2 inch level. Loved it!! It will look awesome!

Lots of guys talking about "look", not so much talking about how well it will work. I thought this was the Offroad section.
OP, the extreme lack of sidewall will not work well for you on anything more than a smooth dirt road. You'll risk cracking a rim or getting pinchflatted if you do any real wheeling with that setup. David's suggestion of a 35x12.5r17 is a good one from a functionality standpoint, and as a bonus you'll spend much less on tires and won't look like a mall-crawling bro-dozer.

lol. Mall Crawling Bro-Dozer? Thats hilarious. I bought the truck with these wheels already on them, but the truck only had 20K miles. I always said I would replace the wheels but they have started to grow on me.
I'm ordering rough country 2.5 leveling kit and Nitto Terra Grappler G2 285/55/22 on Feb. 1st so I will post some pictures and see how it turns out.
FYI - I live about 2 hours from the closest mall.
