Default 2012 leveling kit, a little help??

Hey all, I have a 2012 single cab short box 2wd, I love the truck and I have been looking at leveling kits, but I have seen so much debate over how much better struts are over leveling spacers. And then back the other way saying leveling spacers are just as good as struts. My two main concerns are, has anyone ever had any problems with the spacers? and if any one knows which one would make it sit dead nuts level maybe just a touch of rake...I'm not in to that ghost trailer BS...thanks

2.5" will pretty much get you there.

Replacing the Stock strut with adjustable Strut or Coilover will give you a better ride than the leveling spacer. The spacer is for looks and not performance.

Not sure what you are looking to spend but we can get you taken care of with a Coilover and Upper Arm so you can have the look and performance!

Or you can go straight to our 4" lift spindle!

Well I'm definitely trying to stay on a budget, hence the 2wd single cab short box lol but I had heard that the lift blocks wear out ball joints and tierod ends. Also I heard you can fit 35s under it then? I was thinking more of like 33s haha

Haha! I hear ya.

If you go to high up front your stock upper arm ball joints will not be able it and thats when you get premature wear.

The Upper control arm will let you achieve the most angle, clearance and strength by replacing the factory balljoint with uniballs to give your the most articulation throughout the travel.

As for the Tires, you are able to fit 35's. It will come down to the offset and backspacing of your wheels

So would a 2.5" be too much of an angle for the upper ball joint? I'm not trying to do too much crazy stuff, just want a little more trail capabilities cause I'm about to be stationed in Missouri (in the army hence staying on a budget ) I totally understand it won't be a mud truck but I want a little more ground clearance with a decent tire...and possibly an e-locker

You will be fine with 2.5" - anything more, an Upper arm is recommended.

Awesome! So I guess I'll go with the spacers. What kind of deals do you have on leveling blocks? Haha? I saw rough coj try had 2.5" for lime 98 bucks?
