2002 SuperCrew FX4 2"-3" leveling kit
Got a question, does anyone have a leveling kit on there their 1997-2003 4x4 F150? Do they work well and how much clearance can be expected from one of these lifts?

I know, I'm not going to go the cheaper number route, I have keys and shocks for the front end. I just want to know how the truck rides with the lift installed and what is the max size tire that I can fit, I'm sure its a LT285/70R17 or LT305/65R17.

the keys put just as much if not more stress on your front end IMO I would not get a leveling kit because it will add just as much wear on your joints as cranking your stock torsion bars
leveling kits on a 97-03 are not a good idea

they both do the same exact thing!!! turn your LCAs down to raise the front. the keys are worse for your front end. there intended for use with something heavy to push your frontend back down like a winch bumper replacment or a snowplow.
the only way to get lift without comprimising factory ride is to do a full blown lift kit
FORD knew what they were doing when they designed torsion bars and made them adjustable, but not past the reliable/safe limits. adding keys without the counterweight kills frontends

Just turn up the torsions it does cause more stress to the suspension but the leveling kit over extends the suspension way too much. I've had my bars turned up for over three years now and am still glad I went this way with it.
