09-14 8.8 31 spline LSDs available. Prefer helical/worm gear
Hey guys,
having a tough time finding something like a true trac for my 14 f150 with 8.8 rear end.
2010 is last year listed for true trac on a couple sites, and on Diff wizard, only the Yukon Dura grip (clutch), Detroit locker, and Auburn ECTED are listed, as well as a mini spool and a lunch box, i think it was a spartan.
If I have to Ill run a lunch box I guess, but Id rather have a non clutch LSD as it is my work truck, and I am looking for better traction on snowy roads, gravel, dirt, and mud for rural job sites etc.
Anyone know what changed in the 09-14 8.8s over the years?

Looking at Yukon's site and searching by axle, they list 3 different 8.8" rears for 2009-2014 F-150s:
The only difference listed is the OD of the inner pinion bearing. It doesn't actually list the bearing OD size for the 83-09, but the 09-10 says 3.250" and the 2011-2014 is 3.544". All 3 variations list the same part numbers for the limited slips.
Here are the links for the differentials:
1983-2009
2009-2010
2011-2014
Click on "View Parts list", then "Limited Slip Differentials" and you'll see the exact same part numbers. I would call Eaton and ask about the TruTrac. I would also call some gear shops and see if they have any experience. East Coast Gear Supply does a lot with 8.8"s, though it's usually on Jeeps. Randy's Ring and Pinion might be a good source too, but they may just quote the manufacturer's literature.

We've got plenty of options for the 8.8, 31 spline from Auburn, Yukon, and G2. You really can't go wrong with any of them, just depends on preference. Feel free to PM me with any specific questions or forum pricing.
