I did my cluster a couple of days ago and if you want to change your message center color as well, buy an extra led.... 9 led's total.

Go down to the 74-xHP3 Wedge Base LED bulb. Select your color. I just put mine in last week, and it was a lot simpler. You just twist the base and bulb out of the cluster and pull the bulb out of the base. Reverse instructions to install. Let me know if you have any questions.
P.S. I needed 9 led's total to also change the color of the message center.

You'll have to let me know how those turn out, I still have some uneven brightness behind my cluster. No dark spots, just some areas brighter than others.

All 04+ are the same, so you can use them. It looks like 97-04 heritage use a similar system. Here's the link to documentation on the older trucks http://www.f150online.com/forums/art...r-97-03-a.html

Unless I have some special truck, which I don't, then simply switching out the bulbs will not do anything for your color except give you that color + green... That's why I had to go through and actually remove the green on my truck, so it wouldn't show. You have to remove it and then you can use whatever color you want. There's no way to change your gauge color unless you actually take it apart and do some work. I've recently re-wired mine. About to put it all together again. Have it in the truck and wired, just no needles yet haha. Pics to come!
