Default Decode door jamb sticker 04+

This thread is dedicated to decoding the sticker found on the door jamb of your 04+F150

Here is what it looks like. It is found on the drivers door in the middle

What it all means
  1. Exterior Paint Code
  2. Region Code
  3. Domestic SpeciaOrder Code
  4. Wheelbase Code
  5. Brake Code
  6. Interior Trim Code
  7. Tape/Paint Pinstripe Code
  8. Radio Code
  9. Axle Code
  10. Transmission Code
  11. Spring Code
Here are some of the most common found

Axle Code
19 – 3.55 Non-LS
18 – 3.08 Non-LS
H9 – 3.55 LS
B6 – 3.73 LS
"L6" for a 3.73E rear axle ratio. (Note: The 3.73E designation refers to an electrically locking differential, while the other two designations refer to a standard locking differential.)


Transmission code
U – Automatic 4R75W/4R75E
M – 5 speed manuaoverdrive

Spring code
A — 5310 spring
B — 5310 spring
J — 5310 spring
K — 5310 spring
L — 5310 spring
M — 5310 spring
N — 5310 spring
P — 5310 spring
R — 5310 spring
S — 5310 spring

Interior trim code
A — vinyfulbench seat (split back), vinyfulbench (Mexico)
C — polyknit fulbench seat (split back), polyknit fulbench (Mexico)
F — cloth captains chairs with console
H — leather captains chairs with console
M — cloth 40/60 bench seat
E — leather 40/60 bench seat

Interior color code
X — Medium Prairie Tan
2 — Medium Graphite
S — Willow Green
N — Cordovan

Tape stripe code
H — Silver Metallic/Heliotrope 4x2
2 — Ebony/Amethyst 4x2
T — Silver Metallic/Medium Titanium 4x4
5 — Ebony/Graphite Sparkle 4x4
R — Silver/Dark Toreador — upper, Dark Toreador/Silver — lower Lariat
8 — Dark Blue/CoraPeach — upper and lower Lariat
9 — Bright Green/Pacific Green — upper, Pacific Green/Bright Green — lower Lariat
S — Silver/Ebony/Silver — upper, Ebony/Silver/Ebony — lower Lariat
C — Light Prairie Tan/Heliotrope 4x2
F — Light Prairie Tan/Medium Titanium 4x4

Can anybody explain my transmission code being an 'A'? & the fact that I have a 4.6 with the '26' axle... =\

My VIN says B6 for the gearing... But the dealer faxed me their "proprietary" build sheet and it states that I have 3.55? Why would that be?
