I do every car and every truck at every 5K miles. Doing the math and keeping track of multiple vehicles at 3K or 4K intervals is too much work.

Do all you guys have owners manuals ? Just curious.

But after much research changed to the every 5k approach. My Motorcraft oil is still fairly clean upon change out so im convinced so far. Those Chevys and Dodges may beat me off the line but sooner or later i'll pass then along side the road. And if they are nice i'll tow them home.
Motorcraft oil is made in both full synthetic and also semi synthetic.

They make both.

And in the 5W-20.

Thanks

I know that S&S Cycle recommends using MOBLE 1 in there motors, 124" big HP Harley type motors, thats a real good recommendation.

Default What is 5.4 Oil Drain Bolt Torque Spec?

Couldn't find the drain bolt spec with a search. Anyone have it?
ATOM replied to my pm: 10 ft/lb

If you're having trouble removing filters by hand, Ford filter calls for 3/4 turn after the gasket touches, Fram 1 turn.

Hey blackbetty has it going? As you can see I'm new in this forum, and believe me I love it!! I can learn so many things about my truck, and I like it!! Even though I have one question and probably it will sound kind of stupid. By judging your pictures, the plug in the oil pan, could it be possible to vary positions depending on the year of the truck? Ok thank you so much.

Is there any lube/grease needing to be done on the newer trucks? My old dodge had over a dozen. If there is, you wouldn't' want to miss that!
