Special Anniversery
Today I celebrate a special anniversery--
20 years ago today marks the day "two of us became one". As I reflect on those years I have many fond memories.
-- There have been good times and bad, and we have remained committed through it all
-- Traveling the country, sometimes primitive camping and sometimes with a 26' travel trailer
-- Usually covered, but sometimes topless, we learned to enjoy life whatever the situation.
-- Once, during our travel-trailer days we shut down the Chesapeake Bay Bridge on a Friday afternoon when another driver crashed and veered into us.
-- We have moved across the country twice
-- lived and played in northern New Mexico and southern Colorado for 4 years
-- even today we spend each precious day together
-- a lot has changed, I look much older, but the other half still looks the same
You know, the funny thing is after 20 years I never came up with a cute endearing name; like "cutie pie" or "sweetkins" or Bessie, I still just call it "my truck."
…..I forgot to mention one other important event, 16 years ago I proposed to my wife while we sat on the tailgate.
(By the way, I nominated "my truck," a 1987 XLT Lariat yesterday).
