what's the smallest sidewall you're comfortable with?

well i dont see there being any rubbing issues. with 24's 305 35 24 is very close to stock tire diameter & height. will right like a "stock" setup, but might right at full turn of the steering wheel, possibly
hard to ask the private seller, he is hispanic and doesnt speak 100 percent english, but knows quite a bit

So what ?
- the sectional width of a 305/35x24 tire is 12.1".
- depending upon the offset / backspacing, there could/would (?) be rubbing of the inner sidewall with the suspension components. *Control arms, springs, shocks, etc..
Combine that with a 4½" sidewall and a tire co$t of a minimum of $300+ each and I think you should do more research. Would also recommend that you measure your existing wheels to determine their offset / backspacing.
Could it be that you're under the spell of the bling factor and not viewing the situation logially ?

looks like we got a genius! haha, my tires dont rub, dont know how but they dont, I'd suggest a smaller width tire, thats for sure. I for one am thinking about going to SVT lightning rims, and lowering my truck to the stance of a lightning.

Fitment tools ...
- Vehicle Bolt Pattern Guide ««« -click- Enter year, make, and model. *Use this to determine the "will these fit" spec's.
. - Tire Size Calculator <<<<< -click-
Remember ... If you change the diameter you will need to do compensation measures for the speedometer. *Depending upon the year of the vehicle, this would mean a speedo' gear change -or- a PCM flash.
. - TireRack.com » Search for Tires by Size <<<<< -click- Enter the tire size information.
Review the search results » Additional Tire Information » Specs » Rim Width Range
*Remember ... The sidewalls may be wider than the rims.
. - measure your wheel wells. i.e. frontspacing, backspacing, width, etc.

I'm due for a new set on mine anyhow..but I'm still thinking if I'm going to go Lightning rims and lowering it to the lightning stance or going to 22's and lowering it. Either way if I don't retire the truck she'll have a supercharged 5.4 under the hood some-time.

gDMJoe, you are correct, there might be some issues with clearances since the offset and backspacking isnt specified. i do plan on calling the company getting more info, and comparing it to stock specs, and getting as close as I can so there are little/no issues.
tire pricing depends on location, brand etc. so 300 is a little high, but the ones i have been looking at are right around 270/tire, which is still very salty. it is best to do as much homework/research before a purchase this big is made so you can enjoy your investment for as long as possible.
i do appreciate you taking the time to contribute to all this, it was helpful. I do need to do some more research, and am in no hurry to drop this cash until I am sure it will all work
