Default What tire and rim set up

Hey guys, new to the thread just wanted to know what tires and rims would work together on my F150 XLT super-cab (4X4). The truck has these specs for tires P265/70R17 OWL all-terrain tires (SuperCrew 4x4) with 17" rims. However I want to put on bigger tires with rims that fit. I am going to be putting in the 2.5 leveling insert to the front of the truck once I purchase the wheels and tires.

Hoping to get from 30-35 inch tires for the diameter. I am looking for a tire that does not have a tun of off road tread but just enough were I will not get bent over from loss of gas.

If you have done something like it in the past, I am open to all ideas.

I'm running 33x12.50x17 nitto mud grapplers on 17x9 pro comp rims. on a 2.5 pro comp levelling kit. but even with some trimming they rubbed a bit on full lock on any kind of bump. i wouldn't go bigger then a 33" tire if you want to keep a decent fuel eco.

I put a 2 1/2" leveling kit on my F150. I put 305/55R20 Nitto Grappler AT (33" tire) on ProComp rims. Love these tires. Rated as a 60,000 mile tire. Amazing quite and ride well. Very pleased with them. Luck in your choice, Tim

Stick with a P-Metric tire to keep the weight down.

My suggestion would be a P275/60R20. This will be 33" tall and be able to fit easily on a stock truck or on offset rims with a slight leveling kit.

Bfg ta/ko 275/65r20 is very close to 34". Rims are 20x9 with -12 offset. I have bds 2.5" level and it is level. I lost 2 mpgs on the highway and feel that the tread was aggressive enough but still good for highway driving.
