Default What backspace for 35/12.50R15 Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ

Just got a screamin deal on these tires. $400 for the set. I have a 05 f150 4x4 Lariat. About to order my 2.5 leveling kit and rims. Just going with some standard black steels.

Two questions..
What would rub less 15x8 or 15x10?
What backspace would allow it to stick out some but not too much. I did want a little sticking out for that tough stance.
Thanks in advance. If anyone is running 35's on 15" wheels please fill me in.

15" wheels won't fit on a 2005 f150. Not even 16" wheels.

Hopefully it's a typo and I didn't burst your bubble

You could still sell the tires for what you have in them.

Crap. I wish it was a typo. I thought I did my research but I think I was more concerned if the 35's would fit not the rims. I take it the circumference isn't enough to clear the rotors, etc?

You would be correct. What size wheels do you have now?

You could technically fit a 35 with those and the leveling kit but the wheels aren't wide enough for the tires.

Well I got the rims/tires sold, actually made $200 off the deal, was never really worried about that. Was looking forward to using them that's all. Anyhow, so I can use 17's with 35's correct? 12.5 wide. Slight rubbing I've read. Just want to be sure I can use 17's. I'm trying to get the big tire look on small rims.

Most 17’s... remember 35/12.50 is actually 13.4 wide..so you need the correct offset and back spacing on your wheels.

??? 12.5 means 12.5

If they are gonna lie about the size of a mud tire they will lie the other direction.
