Truck Height?? 275/65r20s with level on 2014 fx4
I am sure a lot of you have tried to find a larger tire to fit the f150 with minimal suspension mods. The 285/60 seems to be a great size but unfortunately there is a very limited selection at this size and very pricey. Note: I do not have the chance to go off roading a lot and I don't live near mud or snow so even though duratrac makes the tire the aggressive tread just doesnt make sense for all the hwy driving I do. I have always liked BFG A/T. The 275/60 is barely larger than stock and what I will have to go with if the answer to my question is 6'6" or taller. MY QUESTION: What is the new height of the truck with 275/65r20 BFG A/T aka KO2's with say a 1" level in front? I have to get this right because I go to the airport a lot and the parking structure has a 6'6" clearance. Right now the stock truck is 6' 4". I have tried to calculate but have no idea if it reflects reality so since i have seen so many trucks on here with 275/75r20s I thought I would ask. Have you been able to get in a 6'6" structure without damaging the roof?
Thank you.
boring probably meaningless calc stuff: 34.1"-31.9=2.2 inches bigger but technically only raise the axle half that much.. 2.2/2= 1.1 inch lift from tires + 1" lift from leveler(which is only at front end) brings me to 2.1" total lift at front. adding this to 6'4" puts me just a hair over 6'6" (which is a logo for the parking structure) however the 34.1" number for the 275/65 ko2's is an unloaded diameter. After installed maybe the tires aren't this tall?? I say this because my 31.9" stock tires actually only measure 31" on the truck now.
Thank you.
