Training aftermarket TPMS sensors

Default Training aftermarket TPMS sensors

After getting new wheels and tires, I tried using the method to re-train my TPMS sensors using the "turn hazard flashers on/off several times" method. After some research, I found out this only works with OEM sensors. For those of us that get aftermarket ones, you must buy the TPMS tool and follow this method to train them:

This is the tool I bought on Amazon (2014 FX4). Worked perfect the very first attempt.

OEM sensors are less expensive than the aftermarket ones in most cases. You should be able to go to most bigger tire stores and have them program the aftermarket ones.
