Default Which Tires? Front Larger Than Rear?

I bought a 2005 F150 Super Cab 2WD. The truck has American Racing 20" Alloys fitted (as opposed to the stock 17" rims), but the rear tires are 295/45R20 whilst the fronts are 305/50R20.

This seems really strange, has the previous owners swapped his wheels around to balance wear without realising he is putting large rubber on the front? Surely if anything the rear should be bigger?

Anyway, all four corners need replacing soon. So, what size tire should I be putting on? The truck is currently lowered 2" but I will be returning it to stock height eventually.

Bigger tires should definitely be in rear. Just put stock 275/55R20 back on the truck.
