Default 295/70/18 Nitto trail Grappler Tire pressure

Hi I was wondering what psi everyone's running on a 295/70/18 nitto trail grappler. The max load is 80 psi. I just dropped mine to 45 on all four tires as the ride felt a little rough. thanks

35-45 depending on the set up of the truck.

I would take the stock pressures and drop them 5. I would guess stock is around 45?

I am glad you were wise enough to drop them. It is a huge mis-conception many people make to air a tire to it's max. I work at a tire shop and have had plenty of arguments with co-workers explaining to them how moronic they are.

I just put these tire on this past weekend. They came from discount tire with the higher pressure. My cheap little gauge only goes a little over 50 psi and they were well over that. I thought when they ship tires they ship them under inflated.Anyway I put them at 45 and will see how it feels. How often do you rotate these tires?

I got mine from Discount Tire and had them installed at CarX. CarX recommended 35psi. I emailed Discount Tire and based on them being on my OEM rim said 40psi. I've got them at 38psi.

They also recommended rotating every 6000 miles.

Anymore feedback on this? I'm running mine at 40 and it's still feels a little jumping at times.

You could go to 35 but I would say 40 is ideal. It is a truck with large wheels and tires on it. Not going to hold the road like a sports car.

I have them in 20's by 33 and run mine at 65 and have great wear with them. Any lower and the truck feels all over the road.

As long as you are happy that is the main thing. I don't have that much in my 8 passanger suburban. The more pressure you have the better fuel ecconemy but the harsher the ride. I have to imagin your truck rides like a brick but again if you are happy that is what matters.
