I realize this thread has been dead for sometime... Is anyone running the Nitto Terra Grappler G2? Is there anything to worry about with a Q Speed Rating?
Thank you!

Breck, I hear very good things about the Nitto's. The Q rating takes them to 100 MPH. Guess it would depend on how fast are you planning on driving your truck.

Default BFGoodrich T/A KO2 (275/65R20)

Hi guys.

This is my first post and I'm happy to say information on this forum helped me choose these tires in the first place. I feel it's more repaying a favour!

(These tires replaced my studded winters... I have no experience with the stock Pirellis). In terms of noise, there is a slight buzz at speeds above 60 km/h. Nothing really that noticeable or annoying. Stereo often drowns out the noise.

Didn't notice any "obvious" decrease in acceleration off the line. They do seem to slow down quicker when you take your foot off the gas. I did notice increased braking distance, but then again, these are qualitative and personal observations.

Had them in rain/slush, light snow and dry pavement. Temperatures hovering around -7 (degrees Celsius). No warmer than +8 (degrees Celsius). I've had no scares or worries at highway speeds or city speeds. Can't say I drive like a mad-man, but braking and accelerating always seem to be handled well. All driving has been done in 4x2.

REALLY looking forward to getting them off-road .

Cheers

BFGoodrich 275/65r20's

Love them. I've hardly noticed any extra noise from them at high speeds and I think they ride great. They also have amazing traction in snow, but I haven't taken them off-roading yet. The only negative is you'll lose some MPG's, but that's expected with a heaver and more aggressive tire. I'd buy them again in a heartbeat.

Nitto Trail Grapplers. Quiet, smooth ride, steers excellent, great overall tire and look friggin awesome.

Cons: Texas summer heat eats up the tread. I only get about 30,000 miles out of them.

Thumbs up Firestone Destination A/T

Just got a set of 285/70/17 Destination A/T tires on my '05 F150 4x4. Have to say, they do quite well in the snow and off road. I've also seen an increase in my fuel economy to 11mpg (was pulling 9-10). At $215 a tire including shipping, I'm definitely getting my money out of them.

Default Falken Wildpeak A/T

285/60-18 Falken Wildpeak A/T on Vision 375 Warrior 18x8.5 O25

I researched a lot and rode with buddies with A/T tires to get my own impression. I finally decided on the Falkens and I am very happy.
GOOD: Quiet! These are the quietest A/T tires I have seen. They have very good on road manners, especially wet traction and they run straight. Excellent of-road in the dry and wet (as long as its not muddy or slimy!), good on sand and gravel.
Maybe not so good: They are not a mud tire and slippery on ice. There are better tires for snow for sure.

PRice is fantastic and they are quiet with good off road capabilities. Check online tests of them too!
