Hi, so I discovered my stock tires kinda suck (Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenzas) and I want a better tire for the road, snow and mud. My wife has a 2013 Jeep with Wranglers on it and they do great in the slop and they are quite.

So I would like a tire that is quiet but handles well. I live in PA now but most of my driving will be on the road, however I do get off road hunting and driving around farmlands. I was looking at Wrangler MT/R with kevlar, Duratrac and I seen some others. But to be honest I dont know if I need the kevlar lined tires but its not that much more so why not. I also seen a Nitto tire mentioned in another thread. My tires only have 3500 miles on them so I'm going to sell them as soon as I get my new ones. Any advice would be great.

I second the BFG AT Ko2's. I think they come out next month. Supposed to handle much better in rain and snow than the original KO's. I'd be getting them if I didn't have fairly new BFG's myself.

Go with the duratrac. Absolute awesome tire, they're great in the snow, great in the mud and you get decent life out of them. I know some people in saskatchewan, Canada who are getting 100,000 kilometers out of a set. Wonderful tire. Also they're studable if need be.

I'm in PA also. Just put Duratracs on my 2013 XLT. Got stuck in the mud during spring gobbler because of the crappy stock tires. Decided before winter I was getting something more aggressive. I got the P rated instead of the LTs. Only off-roading I do is some trails during hunting season. And I rarely tow more than a pair of jet skis. Saved some coin and they didn't affect the ride at all. And absolutely no increase in noise.

I seen the K02's are listed for $235 on tire rack but that might be a guess at the price. Fredneck did you notice a difference in your mpg when you switched? Not that it is a huge deal. I like the idea of kevlar lined tires but I saw a blurb on Goodyears web site saying they were not recommended for snow or something to that effect. I will find it again and post it.
