Default Thoughts on Toyo Open Country AT II

I am looking for input on these tires. I dont need feedback such as "why not buy the Nitto...". I just want to hear the reviews of people who have this tire or have had it in the past. Some things to consider:

1. What size tire did you have?
2. Were you happy with the tire tread life? If so, how many miles do you have currently or did you get out of them before you changed?
3. Would you buy them again? If so, why? If not, why?

Thanks for the help!!! I am in the market for some tires and like this tire. Just looking for some thoughts and experience from the board.

Haven't run them personally, but I've sold quite a few sets the customers seemed to be satisfied with them. 45k seems easily achievable with proper rotations and maintenance.

I won't guarantee you will love them. I've had customers tell me they think Michelin is the worst brand ever. But it's a quality tire so you really can't go wrong.

Very satisfied with this tire - have run 285/55R20 and now 295/60R20. My impression is they are a pretty low road noise tire and throw mud better than any other AT I've run personally (BFG, Nitto Terras) - which matters to me in the gumbo I encounter hunting in central AR. I've not run a set to replacement, but have buddies that have run LT sizes over 45k. I don't run in snow, so can't speak to that. Would buy them again in a heartbeat and recommend to anyone who asks.

Best A/T tires I've ever ran on my truck. Highly recommend them.

Great feedback. What about the noise level? Are they comparative to the normal AT or more on the MT sound?

It's funny, when I was running the 285/55r20s - they struck me as about the same noise level as my history with BFG ATs. The higher profile 295/60s I'm running now are quieter than the 285s.....either is significantly quieter than any MT i've ever run.

Buy em, you'll like em. And if you don't, Toyo has a "No Regrets" deal as follows:

CUSTOMER CARE: TRIAL OFFER

Buy 'em, try 'em, love 'em - or bring 'em back
Buy a set of four eligible Toyo Tires passenger or light truck tires* from a participating Toyo Tires dealer and try them on your vehicle for up to 500 miles or 45 days from the original purchase, whichever comes first.

If you’re not completely satisfied with the performance, just return the tires, with your original sales receipt and the specific reason you are not satisfied, to the dealer where purchased.

The dealer will replace the tires or refund the purchase price, including charges for mounting and balancing.

Fine Print:
Now for the details:

Offer excludes original equipment tires, winter tires, competition tires, commercial tires, Proxes R1R, M-55 and Open Country M/T.
A set is four tires.
The four tires must be purchased on the same day, mounted on the vehicle indicated on the invoice, and must be returned to the participating dealer where they were purchased within 500 miles or 45 days, whichever comes first.
This offer is available only to the original purchaser and is nontransferable.
Other service charges or applicable taxes are not included.
Online purchases are not eligible.
Commercial, racing, or off–road use, improper load or misapplication, or damage by road hazards or other abuse, is excluded.

Hard to beat!

Best tires. Have had no trouble with flats because they are so thick which is awesome for these heavy 35/12.5/18 tires. Cab noise is not too bad at all. I have had them for now 8,000 miles and still no signs of visible wear. Definitely will be my choice in the next set.

Toyo's are good tires. They require more tire weight to balance them. And they cost more than the nitto.
I myself do a lot of Hiway driving. I like the Michelin LTX AT tires like what comes on the 2013 F350 4x4 King Ranch.
Quiet tires, and good fuel milage and good tire life.

I have them and I love them. Great performing tire! Couldn't be happier with an A/T this good.
