Surprising my hubs with New wheels and Tires Recommendations?
Hey all, looking for some input. Want to surprise the hubby with new wheels and tires on his 2013 F150 Fx4. Looking to do something black, and also want to go with a Super Agressive looking All terrain since its our everday driver dont really want to go with straight out mudders. Can I fit 35's with just a leveling kit, or will I have to settle for 33's? Opinions greatly appreciated on tire brand, and anyone know of any deals going on right now? Thanks for the help

You have been a member for 5 years and this is your first post...lol
Getting your Man wheels and tires for his truck is awesome...your a good Woman !!
Have no idea what to tell you for wheels...you gotta go look and you can look at his year and type truck to see what they look like. 35's may give you some problems ...depends on the wheel...stay close to the stock offset and back spacing. Good luck...

LOL I joined awhile back when we bought our first F150 and actually learned a lot from reading y'alls post etc. and then we traded in the F150 for a 250 so I didnt log in for a few years But now we are back to an F150 and its time to make it cool
btw I know I'm a good women LOL, and honestly I love the truck as much as he does so its almost as fun as shopping for shoes!
I guess my main concern is going with 35's and not knowing if they will fit. I dont really want to get into the cost of doing a full out suspension lift. I'd just like to do the leveling and get the biggest tires possible.

35x12.5's are hit or miss with leveling kits alone. It depends a lot on the specs the wheels you go with. Other options that are easier to fit would be 295/60r20 (34x11.5), 295/65r20 (35 x 11.5) or 275/65r20 (34 x 11).
I have 275/65r20's on my truck and they fit it very well. They have a minor rub but that would be fixed with a leveling kit.
About the most aggressive all terrain tires you can get are the goodyear duratrac or mickey thompson baja atz p3. Toyo mud terrains behave very well for a mud tire, so I would look at those too. Theyre not too loud either.

It's been previously mentioned and I'll second the effort. Do a 1.5"-2" level (maybe a coilover instead of a spacer...huge change in ride quality) and go with a 295/60/20. I mention that size as it's offered by Nitto and Toyo...especially the Open Country AT2 in their Extreme tread, which is pretty gnarly looking for an AT.
Their MT is good, and I believe they'll be making the RT in that size also. Nitto's offerings are solid too.
