Nitto Ridge Grappler 35's
#12
I have new Ridge Grapplers in 295/70/18 (34 x 11.5)...love them. I was running 275/60/20 (33 x 11) Terra Grappler G2's in the 116S XL size. See my profile albums to see those. Since my Terra Grapplers were not E-load, they rode super easy. However, for an E-load tire, running at 45lbs, I am enjoying the ride of the Ridge Grapplers. I have 18x9 +12 offset wheels.

I have had several different tires over the years. BFG Mud and AT, Nitto Terra Grappler, Terra Grappler G2, and Trail Grappler. When I said the first pictures of the new Ridge Grappler I was very impressed, they looked perfect. I was finally able to snag some yesterday. I was looking for a 35, and had previously purchased 295/60R20 and 295/65R20 as I didn't really want a super wide tire. That's when I noticed the Ridge Grappler came in a 35x11.5R20! Perfect size for a half ton truck. I also decided to stay with a 20x9 wheel because most 20x10's stick out more than I like with more aggressive offsets.
So here is my setup, 20x9 0 offset Moto Metal MO970, with Ridge Grappler 35x11.5R20. After having them installed I must say, these are the best tire for the F150 or other half tons. Aggressive looks, nice sidewall, and in my opinion they are more quiet than Terra Grappler G2, and much much quieter than Trail Grappler. The installer at Discount Tire said they were the easiest off-road tire he has balanced before, and worked his way through all 4 with no problems. If you are considering the Ridge Grappler, or a mix between mud and all terrain but don't want the noise, I would HIGHLY recommend the Ridge Grappler. The only variable left to be determined is how many miles they last, but so far my favorite tire that I've owned.

I've been eyeing the 295-55-20 ridge grapplers - I want a little smaller side wall with the wider tire - I'm running 295-60-20 trail grapplers now - they are fine but never hurts to cut down a little road noise.
Awesome looking truck!

How's the width on the 11.5" look? I really wanted to like the buff ko2 285/65/20 which are supposed to be 11.5" but just look ways too skinny. They non the other hand I've seen nitto g2 that are 295/60/20 (11.8") wide and they look super wide.

In my opinion they ride smoother and are more quiet than Terra G2's and definitely when compared to Trails. I have had a chance to drive in the rain since the original post, and they do great, no complaints. 11.5" wide looks good, I didn't want an overly wide tire that sticks out several inches, so the 0 offset and 11.5 seem to be a good combo.

Youd have to check out the manufacturers websites stats for measured tread width. Some do seem rather skinny but some also prefer em a lil skinny. I prefer em a lil chunky myself.
