They're an 'HT' tire, meaning they're a 'Highway Truck Tire'. All the biggies make 'em, but Nitto is trying to steal some street-driven 'off-road'-style trucks by intimating they're a 'cross' between an HT and an A/T.
Their benefit is they last longer than an A/T. They don't offer any more traction off-road than an all-weather tire however, so if you regularly off-road your vehicle, these aren't the tires for you. Mud will slick 'em over lickity-split.
Fire-trail stuff you'll be okay on, just like any other all-weather tire.

I have had mine on for some time now. I think I've put close to 30k miles on them & estimate I have another year left. They certianly last longer than the Terra Grapplers. Do they have as aggressive off-road pattern? No, but how much time are you really going to spend off road? For me, it was only during hunting season or pulling timber for firewood. The Crosstek was perfect. Never had a traction problem ever. And they rode great on the highway with no discernible noise at all. Plus they are tow rated (I pull a camper too) where as alot of off-road tires won't tow.

Hi guys. I'm considering Nitto Crosstek tires for my Truck 255/65R/17. I have a 2012 F150 and all the driving I do is city, no off road driving. Would this be good for me?

Just git 275/65/18's on my 2014. So far I like them. Definitely look better than stock wrangler sr-a's
