Default New Wheels...will they fit???

For starters I don't have much knowledge when it comes to tires & wheels, offsets etc etc.... 2015 2WD XL shortbed with OEM 17x7.5 wheels....I want to upgrade to bigger tires and wheels from the OEMs and I've found several choices on the internet 17x9 seems to be the common size... Will there be clearance issues with this size wheel and bigger tires...Also any recommended tires sizes would be appreciated...I'm not interested in doing any kind of lift...KISS....Keep It Simple Stupid...TIA

17X9 is only the diameter and width of the rim. You'll have to mention what offset or backspacing they are before we can tell you if they'll fit or not. Also, tire size that will fit will depend on what offset they are. So we'll need much more details before we can help you....
How far do you want them to stick out compared to stock? That will determine what offset you want.

I'm somewhat in the same boat, although I'll be waiting a while. My '15 XLT SCREW 2wd is a bit tall for me, I don't think I want running boards so I'm thinking I'll use the new Belltech 3/5.5 drop kit
https://www.f150forum.com/f66/just-r...t-info-327747/ but I think I want to fill the wheelwells a bit too. I test drove a '13 FX2 prior to buying my truck and it had 275/55-20's on 20x9 factory IIRC. So I'm looking at these wheels.

Here's a stock dimension page.

As I stated in my original question I have no knowledge about offsets or back spacing....I just want to go a little bigger and wider without the tires sticking out of the fenders too far with no modifications....These are the 17x9 wheels I have in mind and this is the look I'm looking for...The OEMs appear too small IMO and I just want something a little bigger....Perhaps a trip to my local tire dealer may be the way to go???

Based on what you're saying, I'd recommend a 17x9 with somewhere around +20 offset, and a 33" tire like 285/70R17.
