I just bought a 2006 F150 XLT 4x4 supercrew, but I don't like the wheels on it. I would like to buy either 24 inch 305-35-24 or 22 inch 305-45-22 wheels and tires. Would these work or would I be better off to go with something else?

So you want big bling on a 4x4?? Why not lift it, put some 20's or 22's on it with a 35 or a 37 inch tire??

I was hoping to keep the gas mileage and speedometer about the same as they are now. If I go with the bigger tires it would throw both of those off.

I would check out tirerack.com for best wheel fitment. In my opinion, if you want to go big wheels instead of big tires and lift, go 24s atleast. Every CAR these days have 22s. Good luck. I still think you should go lift and big tires instead of bling on a truck.

those deuce fours are gonna impact that mileage. Another forum lost 3mpg with the 24s.

Well Triton V8 thats why I was asking for advice, so I would better know what to do and what would work. I believe most people would consider that thinking ahead.

just a thought also....but when u get up into the 22 and up range of wheels you also gotta realize that your brake pads are not gonna last as long.. unless you upgrade the rotors etc. Not in a real bad way but at least to the point where you will be replacing pads a little more often... I personally can live with that for a little bling..
