Default Finally got some new shoes

2012 FX4

35x12.5x20 Federal Couragia
20x9+12 Ballistic 813 Enigma
4" Rancho lift

Slight rubbing on mud flaps (weathertech brand) when in reverse. Other than that, I'm really happy with how things turned out. Rides so much better than stock.

How are the tires holding up? How many miles do you have on them now?

So far I am very pleased with the tires. Unsurprisingly, they do make quite a bit of noise at 80mph, but I was expecting that.

As for wear, I have close to 3000 miles on them now with nary a sign of wear. About 400 miles of that was off-road on sharp chert gravel that is common in northwest AR and compared to nittos and toyos I have used on other trucks in the past, these federals are taking the abuse in stride. The federals do like to hold onto some of the rocks though, they do not clear themselves of gravel as well as the Cooper STT's that I have on my Tacoma. The federals are much better in the mud than the Coopers though.

The other 2600 miles is interstate, city and secondary roads traveling to my drill rig and back. A good portion of that is twisty mountain side roads and the tires grip really well in the corners wet or dry.

So far, very happy with the federals. Unless something changes drastically as they wear in, they will be replaced with the same tires when they wear out.

That is great to hear. I pick up my set tomorrow. Im in central fl lot of mud around here. Hope I can get good longevity out of them. How many psi do you run in your tires I'm thinking about 50 psi being a Lt tire.
