Default F-150 STX Nitto Ridge Grappler

Hello. I just joined the forum. I've done a lot of reading on this forum, but never posted before.

Let me start by saying I have a 2014 F-150 STX 4x4 SuperCrew. I have the stock STX 20" wheels. I'm shopping for new tires and I want to get good all-terrain tires. I was looking at the Terra Grappler G2 for a while, but I recently noticed the Ridge Grappler. According to the Nitto size fitment app on their site, there are no sizes for Ridge Grappler for my truck. Is this really accurate?

My current tires are P275/55R20. Do you know if the Ridge Grappler can be mounted to the stock 20" wheels? Are other mods required (lifting, etc.)? Any issues?

Thanks!

Welcome!

You might be able to get a 295/55/20 to fit on a stock truck without a level. If you wanted to do a small level, then a 1.5-2" leveling kit would allow you to clear the 295/55/20, 295/60/20 or the narrower 275/65/20 with ease.
Some run the 305/55/20 on a level but it may contact the upper control arms at lock. I have seen some of the guys out there running the newly released 35x11.50x20 which is about the same height as the 275/65/20 but just a smidge wider...it's very comparable to the popular 285/65/20 that you can find in BFG and a couple others.

Hi. Thanks for the response.

I am leaning towards the 295/55/20 Ridge Grappler. It would be great if I didn't have to level the truck. Although, I do like the look of the trucks I've seen that are leveled. My concern about the level is towing. I tow about 5K pound boat. I don't want to cause any issues with towing.
Also, what size level really makes the front and rear of my truck level: 1.5 or 2 inch?

Thanks

I cannot accurately say from behind this keyboard as each truck varies. My heavily optioned Platinum rides a little lower than a comparable XLT. So the best way to determine is to measure your truck specifically. Take measurements from the lower wheel well lip, through the hub center to the lower edge of the wheel (this takes out any wheel squish and pavement inconsistencies).

As for towing, you can always add an air bag system for about $700...less depending on what kit.
