Issue: Atturo Trail Blade vs Toyo vs Nitto Tire Reviews

While most tire brands today are owned by Goodyear or Cooper, there are still significant differences in tire quality you will get at each price point. Our members discuss advice on new tires for the F-150. In this discussion, find out:

  • Are the Atturo Trail Blade M/T tires a good low-cost choice?
  • How does their tread life stack up?
  • Is it worth to pay for Toyo or Nitto tires?
  • What is the traction like on these tires?
  • What are the tire dimensions to consider?

Some members say, “you get what you pay for” with the Atturo’s, and that Toyo’s are generally known known for their 50k+ mileage life with proper rotations. At the end of the day, you might only be saving ~$400 on the Atturo’s, for what is arguably a very important part of your truck.

Read on below to find out or contribute your own tips to this
discussion.

Firestone offered me some Federal Couragia M/T's in a 35x12.5R20 for $215 each if I remember right. It's hard not to consider them.
Holy crap! $215 a piece? I'd just get those. I'm pretty confident that I'll want 37s and a body lift within the next two years, so cheapie tires like that wouldn't be a horrible idea. The Federals are barely less than Coopers around here. But I went to Discount today and I'm getting the Nittos.

I got them put on June 25th then left for California the same day. I'll post pictures when I get the truck cleaned up. They don't rub much at all. It's really only at close to full lock without any trimming. It's real close to the UCA though but it clears and that's all that matters.

I love the look of the Toyos. Federals are pretty good from the reviews I have heard but not a fan of the tread design. I wonder if they have any at my local Americas tire. Wouldn't mind seeing them in person and driving in a truck with these.

The Atturo tread pattern looks the same as the Toyos. I put about 500 mikes on my Atturo's and so far so good!

If they're that damn cheap, you can't go wrong as long as they last 25k miles. Holy cow . . .

The looks can be gotten over for half the price of Toyos.

Well I'm trying to get pics but it keeps raining. Plus the tires rub the frame and LCA at full lock either way and forward and in reverse. Put a 1/4" spacer and it still rubs. Time to go with a hub centric 1.25" spacer so it has the secondary studs because there's no room on mine to go any larger... This project is turning to a money pit... Once I get them fully installed and cleaned up I'll post some pictures for y'all. They make the truck look a lot more aggressive and it sits a little taller too. Personally I like the tread pattern of the Federals. I do like the tread pattern of the Atturo's and Toyo's better but for the price I can get over it.

Dang, that sucks that they're rubbing so much. I think another recent thread decided that 1.5" spacers would better than 1.25" ones.

Which Firestone did you get them from (like what city)? I tried to find them online, just for kicks, and couldn't. $215 each is a steal and less than anything I've seen. So good buy, even if they're rubbing.

For that price of the federals, you would have been insane not to purchase them. I'm ready to see the finished product.

Got them from the one in Pearland on YMCA drive by Pearland Parkway.

I'm ready to see it too. I'm going to take it over to All Out Offroad tomorrow and see if they know exactly what to do without a lift or new rims before I throw more money at the problem. But of course when it rains it pours right? My transmission is going out again. Hopefully it's still under the 10,000 mile 1-year warranty... Gotta deal with that tomorrow too.

I didn't realize your from Pearland. Hopefully its nothing major, who rebuilt it last time? I got my done by a shop in Manvel. I have been meaning to go take a look at All Out Offroad to see what they got, just haven't found time.
