Default 18 or 20" Wheels for 33" AT? -- Help me decide

I'm having the hardest time deciding between 18" x 9 or 20" x9 wheels to go with 33" bfg AT KO2's on my truck I'll be doing a 2" level on

Heard folks saying 20" could impact ride (rougher ride) as well as off road performance and towing ability. The only negative I could see for the 18" was a lot more side wall and cornering loss.

Can I get some feedback from folks running either and any pictures your willing to share. Not sure which gives the best look as well.

Thanks!
Mike

If you aren't going hardcore off roading I think 20"s are fine. The problem with them is that they are extremely heavy which impacts mileage and makes rotations far less fun. I didn't think the ride was impacted all that much by the rims as much as the tires themselves.

I have 18s with the same tires and it looks great. The 20 inch rim fad seems ridiculous to me, you pay more money for less tire. I wanted the extra meat on my tires but I guess it all depends on what you do with your truck.

Nice truck Sparky! How does the truck handle with the upgraded tires? Did you get by with just a leveling kit or have to make any trims to fenders? How did it impact your MPG and acceleration? Thanks!

I didn't notice any difference in handling. Getting about 17-18 mpg and its with a 2" level. No trimming at all in fact I think I could even fit a little bigger if I wanted to.

20's for looks, and consider 18's for better off-road performance.

I just put 20's on. Went with 305/55R20's. No harsher than the stock tires. Sidewall difference is about 0.4" from stock.

I've had 20's on my F-150 and my F-250. The tires make all the difference in the ride quality, not the rims.
