DONE! My only hiccup was using the cheapo wire taps not making a good connection on the initial install. I bought an inexpensive solder kit and BAM...she works!

Thanks for the write up! I love it and its just the right amount of oomph this factory system needed!

Obviously soldering is the most reliable when done right, but for future reference, for taps, you have to be sure to observe the intended wire gage range for the color of tap. IOW, red covers something like 20 to 24 ga., blue covers 14 thru 20 ga, yellow covers 10 to 14 ga. - something like that, but it varies from manufacturer too - so be sure to read the manufacturer's data sheet to see what range of wire ga. each covers. If you don't do that, you're almost guaranteed to have connection problems.

Some questions. On a Rockford setup, Do I need to run 2 +ve wires ? 1 for powersupply through one fuse and another for REM ? I am a first times so any advice is welcome. Also, I see some pictures people putting screws for clamp/strap in the back. Where are these screws holding ?

I think it is because we don't know what you are asking. What Rockford? What wires? What clamps?

Rockford fosgate ps8
The positive is getting connecting to battery with inline fuse . Can that be wired to spare fuse in box or has to go to battery directly. Another one is needed for remote switch off. Is that needed or +ve cable can be connected to a switched fuse. And the clamp or strap to hold sub. Or is it just left there behind seat

The 12V from the amp needs to go to the battery with an inline fuse.
The switched power should go to the fuse box.
Most sub boxes fit pretty tight behind the seat without needing any extra hold downs.

Can someone please confirm if wiring colors for rear speakers inside the B pillars are the same as 2015 ? I am going to be installing it on a 16 Lariat/screw Non-Sony 501A

you should do some reading up on the Forscan thread. You might be able to use a factory option to power and provide signal to your sub..
