Will these speakers fit?
...without too much trouble? I have a 2013 FX4 Screw w/the Sony 8" touchscreen. This system has the Sony tweeters in the A-pillars and the "700W" (laff) sub under the rear seat.
I know that the stock speaker size is 6X8, but I've come across a really good deal from a friend on a pair of JL Audio TR650-CSi components for the front, with JL Audio TR 570-CXi coaxials for the rear doors. I know the coax units will fit fine as they are 6X8, but the components are round 6 3/4" speakers. They will be powered by a JL Audio JX 360 4-channel amp.
How much trouble (if any!) will I have with the components fitting in the front doors? I'm planning on putting the amp behind the rear seats, and I recall reading on the forum there's a way to get behind the seats (via a not obvious catch).
JLs are pretty good speakers from what I can tell, but I haven't heard them yet. A quick look at Crutchfield indicates that the components "won't fit" - but is that true? What am I getting myself into here?
