Default Who has the Best Reciever for AM and FM

I am not talking about a brand I would like your opinion as to who has receiver section for AM and FM reception. Living in Wyoming which has mile and miles of miles and miles. There a areas in Wyoming FM reception is not good, even places where AM broadcast band reception during the day time is difficult. Right now I am not interested in satellite radio.

In past years Pioneer had a great reputation for having hot receivers but I am somewhat out of touch.

By the way are their any hamradio operators out there, I am going to start festooning my truck with
communications gear this being my first digital truck this will be the first vehical I have owned where I have to be careful about interfering with the on board electronics.

Yeah go with satillite radio. Either sirius or XM will be fine. You get reception everywhere, as long as you are not in a tunnel or under a bridge. But being in Wyoming i doubt you have to worry about that.

Well that might be true but there is nothing as good as the good old 4 track tape.

What is interesting blank 8 track tapes are no longer made, but the 4 tracks are, because they are still used in radio broadcast studios. The format is going away but slowly.
