Default What are your favorite tweeters that will fit into the stock a pillars?

Hi all,

Was wondering what are some of your favorite tweeters that will fit into the stock positions on the 2009-2014 gen trucks? I don't mind grinding it out a bit with a dremel, but I'm not looking to build any fiberglass pods, either.

I replaced my stock pillar Sony tweeters, with Infinity Reference-x tweeters and 5x7s in the 4 doors. With the same Infinity line. Plus I added the Kenwood 892 HU, and Kicker Substage.

Sounds alot better...

I'm a silk dome fan, and run JL Audio C2s in my A pillar. They required a little grinding but fit nicely.

Thanks for the replies, guys! And especially that pic.

I looked at the JLs, but unfortunately they cross way too high for the mid woofers I'm planning on using.

I went for the Stock look, and placed my Infinitis behind the oem tweeter grill! I removed them from theyre black plastic enclosure, I prefer a cleaner look!

How about the Hertz HT20? They should fit nicely and can be crossed over lower than the JL.

Those are nice! I hadn't seen those yet. They're still a tiny bit high at 3k, but may still be a great choice.

I actually ended up compromising on the woofer I'm getting. Instead of the TM65, I'm going to go with an SB Acoustics SB17MFC35 and I'm pairing them up with Seas Prestige 27TFFNC/G. Now I just need to make a decision on DSP.

Thanks for the post!

I am running Kicker KST25- Previously I ran the infiniti primus tweeters, then the alpine type s now finally the kicker KS. The kickers seem to be louder while receiving the same amount of power from my 4 channel amp. They are not tinny at all-

Do you have any photos of the install of those Kicker KST25's? I'm just curious as to how you mounted them. I was looking at going with the KST20's(which are the 3/4" version) and wanted to mount them behind the factory grille. I haven't taken the pillar off yet, just wanted to get an idea of what I was getting myself into before I did.
