Default what speakers would you choose?

Look for good efficency and something that will run well with the amp you are getting (power)

I also like MB Quarts but i have no experiance with Memphis

I have always used MB Quartz. Very nice sound and last forever. Another good one is Diamond Audio. They are made in Germany very very high quality. All depends what you like though

I am a several decades long fan of Polk Audio. I have a set of Polk 10B's that are 30 plus years old
and have had almost continuous use for all of that time. Crutchfield has a half price sale on Polk car speakers. http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/ProdColl.asp?cid=141

My Carbon foot print is 57 tons per year, and that doesn't count my fart gas. I spend my carbon offset money on my 1995 F150 Flareside with a carbon spewing 5.0L V8.
