Haha I'm serious the reference woofers are some of cleanest sounding woofers out there that are in the $150-$230 range. I have comps and they sucked. Sounded like crap. But yeah replace your door speakers and amp them. It is a huge difference. The stock stereo runs at about 8 rms watts... They get distorted fast. Get yourself a good 4 channel and thank me later

Not to burst your bubble or anything but kicker is a Walmart brand for a reason. They may "thump" but there SQ is sub par, mediocre at best. They're down there with ken wood,Sony, pioneer. But if your pleased with it that's all that matters

My system,
This is when I received the Skar Audio VVX 15s (Unboxing)
Here are both of the subs, unboxed.
This is when the box was first built.
Put the 2 Subs in, before amp
Everything Installed.
The truck they went in.
I'll take better pictures if anyone wants to see them better.

I understand that the sound of a stereo, as related to "my system is better than yours" is completely subjective, but I'm willing to bet that his stereo sounds far superior to yours in terms of sound quality. The factory speakers, while decent for factory speakers, are pretty much useless in terms of sound quality. I had an 06 with the stock system. It sounded ok at best. I replaced the head unit and kept the stock speakers. It sounded a little better. Then I replaced the speakers with Infinity Reference 6x8 components, and put a 90w x 4 Kenwood amp on them, and there was no comparison.
Riding around with 3 12's and stock door speakers, I would be surprised if you could hear anything other than the bass. If that's what you're into, that's great, but to try to argue that your stock + 3 12's system sounds better than a full aftermarket system (even with walmart line sony xplode components) is an argument you would be hard pressed to find ANYONE who knows even the slightest bit about anything to do with music would agree with.
All 13 of the vehicles I have owned, with the exception of one (which had an infinity system from the factory), have had aftermarket systems installed in them.

I've had 2 so far. Another one in the works for when I'm ready to be completely rid of my back seat. First was (4) DC Audio M2 8's off a DC 3.5k. Loved the punchiness of them, but was missing the lows that they couldn't hit.
Currently I have a single DC Audio M2XL with Lvl 5 upgrades running off the same 3.5k. The 8's were louder on term lab, but no major noticeable difference to the ear other than the lows. Glorious, glorious loooooowwwws
