Pretty much same as above. Transferred Alpine PDX 4.100 amp from my old vehicle and upgraded to twin 10" subs. Had the factory speakers powered from the sub at that time but will be installing Alpine type r speakers on Monday Components to the front, two way to the rears. Keeping the head unit until a suitable replacement comes out but I'm not looking for bells and whistles, just good sound.

So far for me is installed (4)Infinity Reference X REF-8602cfx speakers in the doors. Sounds a lot cleaner now and not the distortion that the factory ones had.

Bought a Alpine MRV-M250 Mono subwoofer amplifier - 250 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms on Amazon for $99 shipped on its way here. Looking at the Sundown SD-2 8" D4 sub series right now for $149 @ Woofers Etc. Looking for some more umph with the Country/Christian music I listen to.

Why an 8 and not a 10 for 10 bucks more? The 10 will fit in all the Scab and Screw underseat boxes

Installed Polk db571 speakers in all 4 doors. The difference in sound is amazing.

Haven't made up my mind yet. I have thought about a single 10" sub and looked and your right there's not much difference in price.

I see people are using the Audio Control LC2i and wondering what speaker wires are you all using? Do you all use the wires on the plug for the factory sub box or what?

- Stock MFT head unit left alone
- Infinity Reference 6832cf in all four doors (factory tweeters still left in place and being used)
- Infinity speakers and tweeters all being powered by the factory amp
- Shallow mount Kicker CVT12 single 4ohm
- Box built for sub and amp mount to go on either side of back seat. Rodneys Custom Boxes on Ebay builds them. I've had 4 of them now and they are all fantastic.
- MBQuart 400watt RMS x1 @ 4ohm
- AudioControl Lc2i getting signal from factory subwoofer wires
TJ how'd you hook up the LC2i to the factory sub wire harness if you don't mind sharing. I plan on using one to convert the signal for my Alpine amp that is on its way here.

Thanks!

Yep. I just followed the wires into the sub box itself to see which wires were the positive and negative. There are four wires coming out of that harness. If you are wanting to do this for just a sub signal, it's perfect. You can splice into it or what I did was cut the harness with a little wire still on it so I can splice it back in later whenever I get rid of the truck. Keep the harness plugged into it where I have the factory sub stored so I can get it all back in later.

But again it works perfect as the input for the Lc2i.

Default Loss of SYNC?

Question on 2013 w/4.2 LED screen: Do you lose the use of SYNC if you splice into the factory harness to install a LOC such as an LC6i? What happens if you splice into all 4 channels at the HU, route signal to LOC, to amp, then back to other end of splice to deliver to speakers? Is that a feasible setup? Been searching for hours and can't find an answer. Any help or links appreciated.

Curious as to why you would do this? Moving the back up cam to the 4.2" screen diverts your eyes down away from your mirrors, instead of being able to utilize all of your mirrors.
