What is this connector
This behind the HU on my stock radio. I am installing a new HU and I am trying to figure out if i need it or not. If I need it what wire harness adaptor do I need to get.

The harness on the right would be your steering wheel controls. You would need a different harness to remain those functions. It looks like you already bought an aftermarket harness?

I have the Scosche FDK11B harness adaptor already. So I should be good to go if I don't have steering wheel controls. 2010 XLT stock HU

If one on right you mean, that goes to AUX and rear seat entertsinment wires even if no have. The aux should go to your aux jack. Do yourself a favor and get the replacement harness by PAC, C2R-FRD1. It will make it all easier. Try eBay and sonic electronix. Also, the pac site will have instructions for that harnes I just mention which will show what that 16 pin thing goes to in your picture on right. Left one is 24 pin right?
Here is link to instructions for the C2R-FRD1 harness (if you dont care about retaining sync). It shows what goes to each of those connectors (2) you were showing in your pic:

Now this makes more sense to what I am seeing. I just figured I was going nuts (and yes that was a short drive for me). So any idea as to where to find this easily? With this new knowledge I should be more dangerous to my truck then ever
