Wondeing if its a good idea to get one of those PAC harness adapters to get a better signal to the sub and be prepped for a future amp if need be.....

I would try it without the LOC first. I would also pull my signal from the front. I have my stereo faded all the way forward, but when i do use the rear speakers there is almost no bass in them.

I have the sony 700w system and was going to grab the signal off the wire going to the sub at the back. My only concern is the amount of wattage going through it.

Not high enough to worry about. I would still use a LOC.

Didnt know you had sony. Some say you need some kind of bass restoration because there is a rolloff to protect the stock sub

If it does turn out you need bass restoration that is the ticket. Available a little cheaper on eBay. Around $72

I really like my lc2i for my w\sync HU. no rolloff noticed and it provides a remote wire for my amp.
