Lightbulb Wall Paper change on Kenwood 6140

Hi Folks !

Still playing with my new Kenwood 6140

Has anyone been able to change the wall paper on their system. I know the system tools for change are in the Setup Menu but I can't move my from the Default mode. Is there a trick here. Would appreciate your thoughts and hints.

Thanks

Bill

You just need to put your system on standby before going into the menu to change the wallpaper.

You just have to press the source button then choose either standby or FM radio. It should enable the option with either of those sources selected. Once you get the option working you can then load your wallpaper from USB by pressing the memory button. I have a DDX616 and it only includes one built-in wallpaper.

You can load any image you want in a 480x260 resolution. Just copy 2-3 images to a usb stick and plug it in before changing the source to standby or FM. Then go into the options for loading images to memory. I imagine that your system may be a little different but it should be mostly the same.

Glad I could help. It drove me crazy for a bit too. I finally figured out that the option is only available if you are not using the USB source at the time you go into that menu.

I like my system alot. Takes a lot of fooling around to get to know it but that is fun so it is ok. Lots of knowledgable people on this form who know the ins and outs of these systems. They are a great help.

Tha only thing that disapointed me was that the system can't take the HD Tuner and Satilite Receiver at the same time. You have to connect one or the other. I connected the Satilite. If you want a cheep HD tuner I have one I will sell you. It is a kenwood for a 6140. Other than that it is a great unit ,you will like it. If you want the Tuner send me a PM.

Regards

Bill
