Default Very basic - but need help

First: I don't want a bumper thumper.

Second: I know there is no sub.. Yet....

Third: Thanks for the help

I just want to update the factory speakers (Yuk 25W) to something better. I will pre run cables for the sub so once I buy one the install will be easy.

I just want to make sure I am on the right path. I DO NOT want to spend alot. In fact the cheaper the better. I looked around and so far have come up with the following

Very cheap.

Kenwood KFC-C5794PS
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...C-C5794PS.html
$52.95

Kenwood KFC-1694PS
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...FC-1694PS.html
$54.99

Scosche SA68 speaker adapters 6X8 - 6.5
16 Gauge Speaker Wire.. 100FT roll just to have extra

As for the AMP. I can go so cheap I make myself really happy or I go past 200

I'm thinking this unit because it offers the max RMS to the speakers.

Boss CX600
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...oss-CX600.html
$89.99

Just remember I don't want to go crazy.
Also I'm in Canada so $300 = 450 for me with shipping.

I would suggest hooking up a 9wire to your amp output back to behind your head unit and tap into the stock speaker wire... This would be a smaller wire, but would save money and a ton of time. Easy way to hook up and you most likely will not notice any difference in SQ.

If you are looking to go cheap with a sub... take your 4 channel amp use the front channels to run to the front door speakers.... run your rear speakers off your deck (you won't notice a difference in the front seats - difference sound stage)... and bridge your rear channels from the amp and run them to a single 10" sub.

This would be a nice easy install and sound 100x better than stock.

I thought about going that way but would rather provide new wires to all doors cause the panels are already off. It's really not that hard when you have the tools. I don't mind tinkering around to make this proper.

Sub will come in the summer when I have another 4-500 to blow. I don't need much. Just hate the stock setup.

What about this amp.

You could use the 2 way speakers in the front and save the price of the adapters. Otherwise looks good. If you bought an amp from Crutchfield they will include the wiring for free.

You might want to consider one of these for your sub.

Are you keeping the factory head unit???

I think the amp is over kill. Maybe you should get a wiring harness and try the new speakers with the Kenwood head unit power first. I know my Clarion has all the power I need for the Kicker in doors I have.

Why MB Quart? You would be fine with any quality brand 4 channel. Get a small one and you can hide it int the dash
