Upgrading my 2014 Ext. Cab STX crappy system
I am looking to upgrade my STX crappy audio. I don’t want to get into a wasp nest of components and all that professional audio stuff. I want simplicity. I might do some dynamat too. I want new door speakers, a nice powered sub or two and a new HU that keeps my steering wheel controls and plays nice with my iPhone 6+. My question is this, if I buy a new head unit (Pioneer or Alpine are my preferences so far) and new door speakers, will the door speakers require an amp to sound good and get a good sound level or should the HU push them pretty well? I am not looking for competition level stuff but I do like it loud.
Also, I need a couple of good options for either powered subs, or sub enclosures that will fit in my ’14 extended cab under the rear seat. I don’t mind running amps. I am familiar with them.
If you have any ideas for a complete setup, I am interested in that as well.
