Per Tallyman about 8 answers up.
Gotcha. Go to the PAC web site and I am pretty sure there is a wiring schematic showing the speaker wires and associated color on the PAC wiring harness.

Any clue if this will work on 2013 non-nav CD? I would assume nothing internally has changed it was just cosmetic updates.

According to their website it will work with a 2012. When I bought mine their web site only said up to 2010. I have a 2011 and took a chance and bought one. No issues at all. Works great. Do you feel lucky?

I'm totally lost now, I thought I had it but some people are making this way to complicated for me to follow.

I have a '10 xlt with sync, no nav, no Sony.

I have 4 infinity kappas I plan to power with a 4 chan amp (no sub plans)

I have to have a PAC unit to get RCA outputs off the HU correct ?

It is the easiest way. Plug n Play.

For RCA to input your amp you will need a line out convertor. Most LOC you have to splice/tap speakers wires for the audio input signal. The PAC is PNP so no splicing is required. But if you are going to amp your door speakers you will still need to get input to your speakers from the amp so you either tap the factory harness or run wires from the amp to the speakers. My truck has a Molex connector on the door wiring and rather than mess with that I did not amp my door speakers. I used the PAC for input to my sub amp. I am reallly happy with this setup. It is plenty loud to me but my ears or old and tired. NOTE - you do not need a PAC or LOC if you amp has speaker level inputs.

Does anyone have a photo of how and where they tapped into the factory harness to feed the factory speakers amped power?

There may be a schematic on the PAC website or you could look at the speakers and see what color the wires are at the speaker
