I don't think the PAC will work with factory amped system. If you have just the standard stereo there is no slicing. It is PNP.

I dont know that he has an amped factory system. What i think he wants to do is use the PAC to get RCA's back to an amp for the door speakers, but instead of running the wires right to the speakers go back to the PAC harness and tap in there to use factory wiring for his NOW amped signal.

I dont know where/which wires to tap but i know there are people here who have done it if you search around.

Gotcha. Go to the PAC web site and I am pretty sure there is a wiring schematic showing the speaker wires and associated color on the PAC wiring harness.

Installed my new PAC AOEM-FRD24 today. Attached to a non-sony, non-nav base stereo with SYNC. Like alot of others have noted with this unit, the level of output is very high, I used the "front" outputs with fader set on middle and at halfway output on the unit the levels were blasting and I had to turn the AMP way down. I now have it adjusted so that the output on the aoem-frd24 is only about 10degrees from as low as it will go.

I am also running it to an Alpine MRP-M650 Sub Amp which does not have any kind of external amp control so between it and the amp I have installed a PAC LC-1 level control **** which alows me to on the fly adjust amp input up and down. I'm still tuning it but will tune my levels based on the control **** at about 80% so I can boost a little bit when I want it, and basically kill the signal when my wife or other people are in the car who dont want/like the bass.

You did it correct. Good job

Yes the Sony has an amp and you can not use the PAC. There are threads on how to make your factory sub sound better or replace it.

Does anyone have a diagram for the stock speaker wire colors? Hope that makes since. I am going to install a 5 channel amp with my pac. I am going to run the speaker wire back up to the pac and tap into the speaker wire there. Like many people have discussed. I just don't want to screw anything up. I am by far no expert on car audio installations.
